FormSnapp vs Fillout

A Fillout alternative with premium design and built-in analytics

Fillout is a modern builder with good integrations, but FormSnapp leans further into premium design, AI generation, and completion analytics — while matching the generous free tier.

The short answer

Fillout has one of the most generous free plans in the category — 1,000 responses a month — and connects natively to Airtable, Notion and HubSpot as databases rather than just as destinations. FormSnapp does not cap responses on any plan and adds its designed themes and a free-canvas editor. Both are good; they are good at different things.

Where Fillout is genuinely better

It prefills from and updates your database, not just writes to it

Fillout can look up an existing Airtable, Notion or HubSpot record, prefill a form from it and update it on submit. FormSnapp reads now too — a dropdown can take its options from a Google Sheets column or a Notion property, and keeps serving the last good list if the provider goes down — but prefilling a form from a record, and updating a row on submit, are not built. If your form edits records that already exist, that is a real gap on our side.

Scheduling and payments included

Booking slots and payment collection are built in. We have no payment field, and booking is a form rather than a calendar.

A very generous free tier

1,000 responses a month free with most features intact. Ours is unlimited on responses but holds back branding removal, custom domains and webhooks for paid plans.

Choose Fillout if your form needs to prefill from or update an existing Airtable, Notion or HubSpot record, or you need booking and payments in the form itself.

Switching from Fillout

  1. 1

    Rebuild the form

There is no importer, so start from a template or describe the form to the AI, which is usually quicker than recreating it field by field.

  2. 2

    Keep your old responses

Export your Fillout responses to CSV before you cancel. They stay with Fillout; FormSnapp starts collecting from the day you publish.

  3. 3

    Swap the link

Replace the link, embed or QR code wherever the old form was shared.

Specific to Fillout: Forms that prefill from or update Airtable or HubSpot records should stay on Fillout. Everything else rebuilds from a template; note that Fillout takes payments on its free plan and we have no payment field yet.
